On the evening of August 25, 2024, more than 250 people gathered to support and celebrate community with Flo’s Seniors at their 2024 Honouring Community event.
Attendees enjoyed the event’s positive vibes by partaking in delicious food, music, a photobooth, and reconnecting with friends and community. As the evening’s program began to wrap up, Sarah Onyango, a volunteer with our Community Builder Award (CBA) recognition team, helped us present community leader Deneise Davidson with a well-deserved Community Builder Award.
Everyone in the room erupted with cheer and rose to their feet to celebrate Deneise. An immediate wave of appreciation and joy filled the room as attendees recognized Deneise for her unwavering commitment to the community and to those whose lives she has touched.
Her hard work and dedication inspire others to build stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities for everyone. In the world of volunteering, Deneise exemplifies the best of community spirit.
